Singapore local merchants still intend to expand overseas business

International Business News  – According to reports: Despite the continued disruption of the COVID-19 epidemic, Singaporean merchants still intend to expand overseas business.

According to the latest “SME International Index 2022” by the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce (SBF), despite continued disruptions from the epidemic, more than half of the surveyed businesses with overseas business still intend to expand their business to new markets within two to three years.

The Federation of Singapore Chambers of Commerce and Industry believes that online communication and business matching are convenient and affordable ways, and it will continue to organize such events to assist overseas study groups to support Singapore companies in entering overseas markets. In 2021, a webinar hosted by its FYIstival platform attracted around 2,200 attendees from 38 countries, resulting in 160 deals.
