Cambodian agricultural products exported to China

International Business News  – Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries reported on July 22 that in the past three years, Cambodia has exported nearly 2 billion US dollars of agricultural products to China.

According to a report released by the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the same day, from 2019 to the end of June 2022, Cambodia exported 2.4 million tons of agricultural products to China, with a total export value of 1.942 billion US dollars, including fresh bananas, rice, dried tapioca chips, and tapioca flour , cassava waste, dried mango, fresh mango, cashew, cocoa powder, etc.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, the “One Belt, One Road” initiative has brought great benefits to Cambodian agriculture, helping Cambodia to grow rice, cassava, tropical fruits, natural rubber and other products; by establishing agricultural product processing parks to enhance the added value of agricultural products; investing for Chinese investors provide a good environment for agricultural production and export to China, such as investing in rice production and exporting agricultural products such as rice, cassava, banana, and mango; and promoting Cambodia’s agricultural production technology, infrastructure construction and financial resources through Cambodia-China bilateral cooperation.

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Cambodia, in the first half of this year, the trade volume between Cambodia and China reached US$5.985 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.7%. Under the deepening of economic and trade cooperation, bilateral trade between Cambodia and China continued to maintain rapid growth, and China continued to remain Cambodia’s largest trading partner.
